Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico seeks an experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer to support development and production of high reliability magnetic/electronic components for national security. You will coordinate tests, analyze data, document results, and work with suppliers and production partners in a collaborative environment onsite.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance, and experience with CAD, ANSYS, and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Graduate degree and experience in mechanical engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and constraints.
• Document engineering decisions, test data and designs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in designing custom electronic components.
