Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or comparable experience.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge or experience with polymer characterization instrumentation is highly preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn various testing methods and instruments, including mechanical testing equipment.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to effectively prioritize and plan responsibilities.
• Experience in making parts from resins (mixing, milling, pressing, sintering), conducting organic reactions, and analyzing results.
• Familiarity with spectroscopic techniques such as NMR and IR, as well as polymer characterization tools like DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA, Impact, and Tensile Testing.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based computer systems and troubleshooting/calibrating laboratory instruments.
• Ability to document experiments accurately using electronic laboratory notebooks and prepare SOPs.
• Willingness to support safety policies and maintain safety documentation.
