Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a Research Operator in Research & Development to process and sterilize infant and adult nutrition products. You will handle materials, CIP, and operate various equipment to manufacture products from start to finish while adhering to procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 3 years of plant production experience, especially in food/drug/beverage manufacturing.
• Knowledge of infant formula, nutrition products, and regulatory standards; ability to read work orders and troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize liquid and powdered infant and adult nutritional products in the Columbus PRC.
• Handle materials, clean CIP, and operate equipment (kettles, fillers, seamer, retorts, aseptic lines).
• Follow procedures to manufacture products; ensure safety for self and others.
• Comply with regulations, policies, and Abbott's EHS program; maintain housekeeping and accurate documentation.
• Perform in-process testing and environmental monitoring using lab equipment.
• Communicate issues and observations to Product Development, Engineering, QA, and management.
• Obtain Better Process Control certification.
