Job summary

JPS Composite Materials LLC in Anderson, SC is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to perform QC testing on R&D trials, coatings, and complaint samples under supervision of the Director of R&D. The role involves routine fabric and chemical testing, data entry, and supporting the development of new products with strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adherence to industry and customer specifications.

The position requires 2 years of lab experience, strong math and communication skills, and

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent.
Experience with chemicals, testing chemicals, coatings and R&D trials in production.
2 years' experience in a physical testing laboratory.
Must have good math and communication skills.
Experience in physical testing laboratory procedures & R&D testing procedures is required.

Responsibilities

Perform QC testing on R&D trials, competitive fabric and complaint samples.
Work with chemicals and testing equipment to assist in development of new products.
Conduct routine fabric/chemical tests on R&D development and trials samples with all QC and R&D tests required to match industry standards and customer specification.
