Job summary

ICP Group, a leading coatings, adhesives, and sealants company, is seeking a hands-on R&D Laboratory Technician for its Andover facility. You will work closely with R&D Chemists to prepare batches, perform testing, and support product applications, while maintaining accurate documentation of results.

The role offers opportunities to learn new laboratory methods, operate in a safety-conscious environment, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on water-based coatings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Interest in hands-on batching, testing, product application, and laboratory work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and document results accurately.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D Chemists with product development and project-related laboratory work.
• Prepare accurate and reliable water-based and solvent-based laboratory batches according to established instructions.
• Perform coatings testing, sample preparation, and product application evaluations.
• Learn and support color matching activities.
• Record, organize, and communicate testing data clearly to the R&D team.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, samples, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Support raw material and laboratory supply inventory activities.
• Follow applicable safety, environmental, and laboratory procedures.
