Job summary

Shurtape Technologies in Hickory, NC, seeks an R&D Technician to operate pilot equipment during tape product development and perform a wide range of testing to support development and evaluation of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes.

You will conduct minor equipment maintenance and document data, while maintaining clean lab conditions and following safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in product development and/or laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of the coating process and equipment preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate pilot equipment during development of tape products.
• Perform testing activities to support development and evaluation of pressure sensitive adhesive tapes.
• Conduct minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of laboratory test results and observations.
• Ensure safety and environmental procedures are followed.
