Responsibilities

  • Support lab, engineering, and product-development projects.
  • Create, modify, and assemble custom fixtures for scans using hand tools.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Imaging Lab Technician to join the Digital Engineering - CT & Imaging team in Durham, NC. This role offers an opportunity to support the development of next-generation medical products and enhancements to the existing product portfolio. The technician will operate an industrial Computed Tomography (CT) scanner and other imaging equipment, perform basic imaging data post-processing, document analysis findings, and support laboratory and product-development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with operating industrial CT scanners and complementary imaging technologies.
  • Support imaging acquisition, analysis, and data-processing activities.
  • Perform basic post-processing of CT and other imaging data using Volume Graphics, Geo magic, Mimics, or equivalent software.
  • Assist with documenting results and preparing technical reports.
  • Follow established work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to laboratory processes and operations.
  • Support laboratory, engineering, and product-development projects as assigned.
  • Use precision hand tools and light fabrication equipment to create, modify, and assemble custom fixtures for scans.
Required Qualifications
  • Work with tools such as utility knives, precision blades, small electric drills, rotary tools/Dremel, and measuring equipment such as calipers.
  • Associate's degree in Science or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical education, certifications, or relevant experience in imaging, manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory operations.
