Job summary

Actalent in Conshohocken, PA is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to perform bench-scale polymerization testing, catalyst activation, and ethylene polymerization. You will handle air-sensitive materials in glove boxes and conduct silica-supported catalyst prep, contributing to polymer development in a collaborative team.

The role is a contract-to-hire, onsite at Conshohocken with first shift hours. A two-year lab background or a degree in Chemistry/Polymer Science is expected, with pay of $22–$25

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science with 2 years of hands‑on industrial lab experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Science.
• Experience performing laboratory procedures.
• Experience working in a Research and Development lab.

As a Lab Technician, you will perform routine bench-scale polymerization testing, including catalyst activation and ethylene polymerization. Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.
• Experience in laboratory and chemical handling.
• Associates Degree in Science with 2 years of hands‑on industrial lab experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Science.
• Experience performing laboratory procedures.
• Experience working in a Research and Development lab.

Work Environment

You will work in the Polyolefins R&D Lab, spending your time independently as well as collaborating with a team of 5. The work schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conshohocken, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
