Job summary

ICP Group seeks a hands-on R&D Laboratory Technician to support the Andover R&D facility. The role collaborates with R&D Chemists to prepare batches, perform testing, and organize results for project work in water-based coatings and related applications.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) with opportunity for growth; associate degree or technical certificates are a plus. You will maintain the lab, assist with color matching, and ensure safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, technical certificate, or relevant hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience in laboratory, coatings, paint, manufacturing, quality control, or construction materials is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and document results accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D Chemists with product development and project-related laboratory work.
• Prepare accurate and reliable water-based and solvent-based laboratory batches according to established instructions.
• Perform coatings testing, sample preparation, and product application evaluations.
• Learn and support color matching activities.
• Record, organize, and communicate testing data clearly to the R&D team.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, samples, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Support raw material and laboratory supply inventory activities.
• Follow applicable safety, environmental, and laboratory procedures.

ICP Group is seeking a hands-on R&D Laboratory Technician to support the Andover R&D facility. The site specializes in water-based coating manufacturing, including tennis court and architectural coatings. This position works closely with R&D Chemists to prepare laboratory batches, perform testing and product applications, organize results, and support project-related activities. The role reports to the Technical Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Support R&D Chemists with product development and project-related laboratory work.
• Prepare accurate and reliable water-based and solvent-based laboratory batches according to established instructions.

• Compensation: $60,000-$70,000a year. Actual pay is dependent on candidates overall skills for the role
