Job summary

Vantive seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the Acute Systems R&D laboratories at the Plymouth Research Center. You will ensure safe, compliant, organized, and efficient operations across verification, validation, controls, and product development.

This hands-on leadership role may supervise technicians and requires building strong cross-functional relationships, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining audit readiness across facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, biomedical technology, electronics, mechanical technology, laboratory science, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience supporting or managing an engineering, R&D, test, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall readiness, organization, safety, compliance, and effectiveness of the Acute Systems laboratories.
• Coordinate laboratory personnel, workspaces, equipment, and materials to support R&D activities.
• Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, checklists, and operating mechanisms.
• Proactively identify operational risks, resource constraints, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate laboratory expansions, equipment installations, workspace modifications, and facility-related activities.
• Communicate laboratory status, priorities, risks, and resource needs to stakeholders and R&D leadership.
