Job summary

Keystone Industries in Gibbstown, NJ, is seeking a Research & Development Intern to gain hands-on lab experience in a manufacturing environment. You will assist with formulation work, QC lab upkeep, and documentation under guidance from senior staff.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year technical degree and possess basic math, communication, and teamwork skills. The internship offers weekly pay and exposure to a variety of lab activities.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' experience in laboratory setting.
• Good mathematical skills – unit conversion, ratio, percentage.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of senior laboratory staff, compound/blend materials to create formulations
• Participate in the general upkeep of the QC/R&D laboratory facility
• Operate laboratory analytical and mixing equipment
• Perform testing per guidelines
• Create, maintain, and organize electronic documentation
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals and waste
• Complete special assignments and prepare reports/project summaries, as required
