Job summary

Amgen is offering an undergrad internship in R&D Knowledge Management for Summer 2027. The 12-week program combines a project with experiential learning, connecting researchers across Amgen’s R&D ecosystem to support scientists and clinicians as they find the knowledge they need to focus on patients.

You will pick a project area such as AI assistants, knowledge foundations, user research, and storytelling with AI.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a full‑time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Ability to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Interest in AI, prompt engineering, and generative AI concepts; coding experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Co-designing, prototyping, and testing AI assistants beyond Q&A (e.g., roleplay simulators, digital coaches, recommendations).
• Building knowledge foundations and infrastructure to help people and AI find trusted information.
• Using user research and usability feedback to improve Knowledge Management tools’ experience and interface.
• Creating practical stories, multimedia, and knowledge assets with AI tools.
• Helping teams adopt new ways to learn and share knowledge through communication and culture-building.
