Job summary

AFB International, a member of Ensign-Bickford Industries, invites motivated R&D Scientific Interns to join our Research & Development team for a 12-week summer internship. Interns will work alongside industry professionals on real projects, gain hands-on experience in formulation, analytical testing, and product development, and learn lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.

Mentorship from senior scientists, exposure to the product lifecycle, and opportunities to present

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a scientific degree (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science).
Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with analytical techniques.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist design, execution, and analysis of laboratory experiments under supervision.
Collect, organize, and interpret experimental data using scientific methods.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
Support projects related to formulation, analytical testing, or product innovation.
Participate in team meetings and share ideas to solve challenges.
