Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM, seeks a Group Leader (R&D Manager 4) to lead the High Explosives Science & Technology (Q-5) group, guiding scientists, engineers and staff toward delivering program milestones and customer goals.

You will champion safety and operational excellence, manage staffing, budgets and performance, and collaborate with NNSA, the HE Strategy Office and Weapons Facility Operations to advance research and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Q-5 High Explosives Science & Technology group and oversee staff.
• Champion safety, QA, budget, and operations for integrated work management.
• Collaborate with program managers, HE Strategy Office, and NNSA customers.
• Develop staffing plans, resource facilitation, and performance appraisals.
• Support facility operations upgrades and R&D-to-production transition.
