Job summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking early-level R&D Engineers to join the Detonation Science and Technology Group (Q-6). Open to external candidates, roles span R&D Engineer 1 or 2 with responsibilities in pulse power engineering and experimental facility integration for critical national security projects.
Candidates should have a related engineering degree and relevant experience. Positions are onsite in Los Alamos, NM, with a clear path to higher responsibilities for stronger
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- For higher level: Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years related experience, or equivalent.
- Experience with data processing electrical simulation and PWB layout software is desirable.
- Demonstrated skill in solving complex mixed-signal issues using advanced diagnostics and data-driven root-cause analysis.
Responsibilities
- Work on pulse power engineering projects end-to-end.
- Assist with experimental facility integrations and high-explosive safety protocols.
- Document engineering work clearly, including test results and integration guides.
