Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to partner with R&D and Technology Development, translating experimental roadmaps into budgets and tracking spend against milestones. You will provide financial visibility to leaders for decision-making under technical uncertainty in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires strong FP&A experience, expertise in financial modeling and Excel, and the ability to communicate complex technical projects to finance and non-finance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field is required.
Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
Ability to translate technical projects into financial data and visible metrics.

Responsibilities

Build annual budgets and forecasts for R&D cost centers and track spending.
Forecast short-term cash flows by adjusting amortization and downpayments.
Track variances and risks at project/program level and flag early.
Advise leadership on resource allocation and operating efficiency.
Own end-to-end program forecasts to enable capital re-allocation.
