Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Staff R&D Finance Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational initiatives for its R&D organization. You will partner with R&D leadership, Finance, HR, and cross‑functional teams to provide insights and drive resource management and execution against priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, business operations, analytics, consulting, or related functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present insights to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, long-range planning, and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze financial and operational performance against plan, identify key trends, and communicate insights to management.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and analytical frameworks to support decision‑making.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, risks, and resource requirements.
• Assist in preparation of management reviews, executive presentations, and business updates.
• Support operational planning, business reviews, and performance tracking activities.
• Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve visibility and decision‑making.
• Provide actionable insights to improve financial and operational performance.
• Prepare recurring management reports and analyses; contribute to scalable planning processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, automation, and data quality.
• Support initiatives focusing on forecasting, reporting, analytics, and operational effectiveness.
• Assist with implementation of new tools, processes, and best practices.
