Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a Validation R&D Engineer Co-Op in Canton, Ohio. This hands-on internship focuses on designing test rigs, developing procedures, and analyzing data for product development.

You will work with Product Development Technicians, schedule tests, procure equipment, and contribute to Design Verification Plans, all while upholding safety and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in a test lab, machine shop, or business setting is a plus.
• Solid understanding of statics, dynamics, physics, calculus, and materials.
• Strong verbal, written, and PC skills with emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in test setup, execution, documentation, and analysis with Product Development Technicians.
• Schedule testing and prototype building.
• Specify and procure equipment for project evaluations.
• Design and document test procedures and report results.
• Acquire and analyze data with data acquisition systems and report results.
• Contribute to Design Verification Plans for validation testing.
• Maintain a safe work environment through training and procedures.
