Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies invites applications for a Research and Development Engineering Co-op. This program develops engineering and research skills in interventional cardiology and medical device design, reporting to the Cardiovascular System Engineering group manager.

Interns work on characterization, prototype development, and data analysis with a focus on regulated device procedures. Participants will learn state-of-the-art testing, literature review, and reporting practices while

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or related field; at least 2 years of study toward bachelor’s required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of principles of engineering and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of data acquisition and study design.

Responsibilities

• Support principal engineer on active projects in medical device development.
• Complete assigned research projects and test fixtures.
• Fabricate test fixtures and perform test execution with data collection.
• Prepare technical reports, manuscripts, abstracts, posters as needed.
• Participate in training and development activities.
