Job summary

Generis Tek Inc is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our R&D team in Plymouth, MN. The role focuses on leading software test workstreams across product and non-product ecosystems and collaborating with developers to ensure rigorous documentation and testing.

The ideal candidate has a BS in CS/SE/EE, 2+ years in software testing, and knowledge of IEC 62304 and FDA/EU regulatory standards. This is a 6-month contract on-site in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/EE or similar.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in C/C family of languages.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304 software testing approaches.
• Experience with FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU-MDR, ISO13485 compliance.
• Familiarity with static and dynamic unit test tools and repositories.
• Ability to work with software developers to produce test docs.
• High motivation and curiosity to solve challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Software Test Engineer will provide technical leadership and cross-functional influence within a vibrant, high-performing R&D team that is redefining the treatment of structural heart disease. The incumbent will lead the software test workstreams across a product and non-product ecosystems involving multiple devices, and fill other roles/responsibilities to meet evolving business needs as directedbymanagement.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum2yearsofrelevantexperience.
• ExperienceinC/C familyofcodinglanguages.
• Familiarity in common software test methodologies identified in IEC 62304 such as unit, integration, verificationandsoftwaresystemtesting.
• Experience in non-product software validation compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU-MDR regulations,andISO13485.
• Familiarity with implementation of static and dynamic unit test tools and methods.
• FamiliarityWithcommoncoderepositoriesandmaintenancethereof.
• Ability to work with software developers to produce concise, unambiguous software design/test documentation.
• High motivation, technical curiosity and inclination to find creative ways forward when faced with challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or Engineering.
• Experienceinfirst-in-humanandpivotalclinicaltrials.
• Experience and/or familiarity with cardiac anatomy and interventional cardiology.
