Broadcom Inc. in Lisle, IL seeks an experienced R&D Engineer Software 3 to design and develop mainframe applications in Assembler on the z/OS platform, joining the Mainframe Security and Compliance team to build, test and support enterprise-grade solutions.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment with product management and fellow engineers, automate tasks with scripting, and contribute to fast-paced innovation and ongoing modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; five+ years of software development experience or a Masters with three+ years
• Proven Mainframe knowledge and HLASM proficiency
• Z/OS familiarity and source control experience (Endevor)
• Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
• Experience with z/VM Systems Programming and IMS is a plus
• Experience with ESM/IPC S, XDC and Metal C is desirable
