Job summary

Entegris, Inc. in Danbury, CT is seeking a Research and Development Engineer/Scientist Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season. This 6-month assignment involves collaboration with scientists and engineers to develop and characterize new products used by semiconductor manufacturers.

You will design equipment, automate processes, write SOPs, and document results while building hands-on experience in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineers or scientists in good academic standing (GPA 3.0+).
• Hands-on lab work and collaboration in a team.
• Desire to build equipment and carry out experiments in a lab setting.
• Experience with SolidWorks is a plus; PLC programming and data acquisition are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop equipment for experimental setups.
• Automate processes to improve repeatability and data collection.
• Develop standard operating procedures for analytical equipment.
• Identify and work with suppliers to procure materials and equipment.
• Organize and document processes to improve development efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for R&D, including experimental data and processing.
