Job summary

The NPK International inc. seeks a Mechanical/Materials engineer to drive faster, safer, and more cost-efficient manufacturing and site access processes. You will research, design, test, and implement new products, materials, and methods to optimize operations.

You will collaborate with R&D, plant personnel, and leadership, lead multiple development projects, and travel to U.S. operating locations to validate solutions and build strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on engineering experience in R&D, product development, or process optimization.
• Fast-paced environment experience; highly organized and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop innovative technologies, materials, and automated systems.
• Lead multiple R&D and product development projects simultaneously.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
• Collaborate with R&D, plant personnel, and operations leadership.
• Design and conduct engineering tests and analyze results.
• Travel to U.S. operating locations and vendor facilities.
