nVent in Solon, OH, is seeking an engineer to design systems using our electrical protection and connection solutions. You will analyze customer docs, design based on requirements, and produce engineering documentation for review.
You will support the sales team during quoting, work with manufacturing during design and production, and collaborate with other engineers. Proficiency in engineering software and strong communication are essential.

You will be part of the Electrical Custom Solutions team in the Engineering Services organization. Your role primarily involves using nVent products to design systems tailored to customer requirements. You will also provide technical advice and support the sales team in the quoting process.
Analyze customer documentation: requirements documents, construction drawings, 2D prints, and 3D models. Design custom solutions based on customer requirements in any of our core areas: Lightning protection, grounding, bonding, and flexible connections.
Provide technical advice to aid in the development of an optimal solution for the customer. Produce engineering documentation for customer review and approval.
Support the sales team and the customer throughout the quoting process. Work with the manufacturing team during design and production phases. Collaborate with other engineers for deeper understanding of nVent products and applications. Use engineering design and simulation software tools.
Continuously look for ways to simplify processes and enhance customer experience with engineering services, then guide those improvements from concept to implementation.
