Job summary

The Gorilla Glue Company in Cincinnati, OH seeks an experienced engineer to provide technical leadership for the Research & Development team. You will lead new product development, test development, and equipment sourcing, delivering innovative solutions for adhesives, tapes, coatings and sealants.

You will collaborate across internal teams and with suppliers/customers, manage multiple projects, and apply your mechanical aptitude to hands-on testing and process validation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Industrial, Chemical, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering with 3+ years' experience.
• Experience in materials testing, adhesive, sealant or coating formulation is required.
• Background in statistics, analytical testing and DOE is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D projects for NPD, lab upgrades and exploration.
• Prototype, formulate and validate processes for NPD.
• Manage supplier relationships with technical counterparts.
• Communicate project updates to drive decisions with stakeholders.
• Develop and validate new test methods and equipment.
• Support Sales and Marketing with technical knowledge and claims.
• Coach and train junior R&D team members.
