Job summary

Cherry Bekaert’s Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory (TCIA) team is growing! As a Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory Intern you will serve clients on federal credits and incentives engagements including R&D tax credit analyses, cost segregation projects, Inflation Reduction Act-related energy credits, and state credits and incentives.

You will develop your technical skills and interview personnel to support opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an accredited accounting program; about 2 years from graduation; 150 credit hours.
• Strong interest in R&D tax credits, depreciation, cost segregation, and related incentives.
• Ability to participate in engagement planning and manage tasks across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients on federal credits and incentives engagements (R&D credits, cost segregation, Inflation Reduction Act energy credits, state credits).
• Develop technical skills and interview personnel to support opportunities.
• Manage review and organization of client data for credits and incentives analysis.
• Support engagement teams by identifying project status and next steps.
• Lead assembly of final client deliverables.
• Act as a point of contact for client personnel with tax and technical backgrounds.
