Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque seeks a highly motivated R&D Electronics Engineer to support surveillance of electronic components, including capacitors, microcircuits, resistors and diodes. You will lead testing, analyze data, and prepare annual component assessment reports, collaborating with the system surveillance team and SMEs across Sandia and KCNSC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating independent research and development abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Responsibilities

• Conduct electronics testing, provide SME expertise, perform materials or chemical analysis and optimization, structural analysis, thermal analysis, and project leadership as applicable.
• Prepare process documentation and reports for customers
• Support a multidisciplinary team as surveillance responsibilities expand
• Co-develop and articulate a vision for future electronic surveillance needs to support the nuclear deterrence mission
• Collaborate with components and systems engineers and SMEs across Sandia and KCNSC for thorough testing and analysis
