Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a dedicated R&D Electrical Engineer to design, test and verify electronics hardware and firmware for national security applications on-site in Albuquerque. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop concepts, write proposals, and advance verification technologies while minimizing sensitive information exposure.

On any given day you will build prototypes, design PCBs and embedded firmware, and support sensors and verification devices for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience, and ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and test prototypes for monitoring and verification equipment.
• Design, modify, fabricate and test electrical components incl. PCBs.
• Design, modify and test embedded firmware (MCUs, FPGAs).
• Support verification devices, sensors, seals and tags.
• Contribute to electronics trust and export control analysis.
