Job summary
Hitachi Energy USA INC in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced R&D Electrical Engineer to join our global Multi-physics Simulation Team within the Transformers business. You will drive circuit-level, electromagnetic, and multi-physics simulations to accelerate development of next-generation transformers and enable design optimization.
You will collaborate with international teams, develop automated workflows, and advance modeling techniques to reduce risk and improve product
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- Experience with transformer design or related power-electronics domains.
Responsibilities
- Perform circuit-level, electromagnetic, and multi-physics simulations for transformers.
- Analyze transformer performance, including losses, impedance, and transient behavior.
- Develop automated simulation workflows to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with global R&D teams to accelerate product development.
- Support prototype validation and testing to verify models.
- Contribute to engineering guidelines and knowledge sharing.
