Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a detail-oriented R&D Documentation Specialist in Branchburg, NJ to manage local R&D records and related materials. You will maintain archives, track documentation, and support histology and lab data in a regulated setting.

The role involves collaboration with GMP/GDP processes, EDMS file management, and continuous improvement initiatives. A technical bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and 1–3 years of experience.
• Medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Experience working in a lab environment and with GDP.

Responsibilities

• Maintain local R&D archive room and document management systems in compliance with GDP.
• Establish, maintain, and report tracking metrics for local records and status.
• Coordinate histology slide requests and off-site archival activities with stakeholders.
• Coordinate and track off-site physical documentation archival and retrievals.
• Author and own instructions/training material aligned with global processes.
• Create and organize files in Electronic Documentation Management Systems (EDMS).
• Collaborate with document management groups and audit support.
• Ad-hoc scanning of paper records and preliminary GDP review.
