Job summary

Siemens EDA invites an accomplished R&D leader to steer the Calibre Semi R&D platform, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing simulations, DTCO, and device physics at cutting‑edge nodes. You will drive innovation, collaborate with industry leaders, and advance high‑fidelity numeric solutions.

Preferred to be based in the US (San Francisco Bay Area) with hybrid work at Siemens Software, contributing to a world‑class EDA workflow and scalable HPC solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD with 10+ years of research/industry experience in CS, Applied Math or Engineering.
• Expertise in semiconductor process integration, devices, and advanced technology nodes.
• Strong HPC skills: numerical algorithms, solvers, distributed processing, GPU acceleration, etc.
• Proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, Python; experience with AI/ML to accelerate problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a simulation platform for semiconductor manufacturing (process and device simulations, DTCO).
• Collaborate with industry leaders to accelerate tool development and device performance studies.
• Deliver high‑fidelity modeling and high‑throughput simulations for advanced nodes (2/1.4/1.0/0.7 nm and beyond).
• Mentor and guide a high‑performing R&D team to meet milestones and quality targets.
