Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Database Architect for a 12-month, onsite engagement in St. Paul, MN.

The role leads data operations and R&D data management to enable secure, scalable use of data across the product development lifecycle for AI/ML efforts. The candidate will define data strategy and platform architecture, lead governance and quality initiatives, and collaborate with IT, clinical teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure datasets are ready for AI/ML model development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Health Informatics or related discipline
• 5+ years in data management or related roles
• Experience handling large, diverse datasets (clinical/imaging/time-series)
• Experience with data governance, metadata, cataloging, and data quality
• Experience coordinating data transfers and lifecycle activities
• Knowledge of Azure, Databricks or similar cloud platforms
• Strong focus on privacy, security, compliance in regulated environments
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (Python)

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a roadmap to modernize the EP R&D data ecosystem
• Design and maintain data architecture, metadata standards, and common data models
• Partner with IT/Cloud/Engineering to implement data infra on Azure and Databricks
• Evaluate tools for data cataloging, governance, lineage, and AI/ML workflows
• Coordinate end-to-end data acquisition, transfer, validation, and management
• Establish lifecycle processes ensuring data completeness, integrity, and accessibility
• Collaborate with physicians, sites, field teams, and data owners for data collection
• Support data versioning, lineage, reproducibility, and audit readiness
• Work with AI/ML teams to understand data requirements and enable model development
• Oversee labeling/annotation programs with external vendors and quality controls
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce data discovery and preparation time
• Establish and enforce data governance, retention, and security
