Job summary

Element Solutions Inc. seeks an innovative R&D Chemist III to join its global research and development team. You will develop next-generation formulations and materials, tackle complex challenges, and drive technology from lab to production with cross-functional collaboration.

You will contribute to process development, safety documentation, and customer-facing activities, while advancing chemistry knowledge across diverse applications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Advanced expertise in surface/interfacial science, inorganic materials, coatings, and structure-property relationships.
• Experience with wet chemical formulation in multi-component inorganic or polymer systems.
• Familiarity with PCB processes (metallization, electroplating, etching) and material characterization.
• Proficient in statistical analysis and DOE platforms (e.g., Minitab).

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct laboratory experiments to develop new chemical formulations, materials, or processes.
• Analyze, interpret, and document experimental results.
• Evaluate performance, stability, and feasibility of new products.
• Investigate new raw materials, technologies, and methodologies.
• Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges and opportunities for product improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement and Commercial teams; support scale-up and tech transfer.
• Prepare technical reports, product specifications, and safety documentation.
• Act as SME during customer trials, audits, or supplier engagements.
• Ensure lab work adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
