Job summary

Thatcher Chemical in Utah seeks an R&D Chemist I to support laboratory experiments, sample preparation, testing, and documentation, developing the skills to execute defined R&D activities.

You will work with the team to test formulations, record results, maintain safety and equipment, and contribute to product development, cost reduction, and technical investigations. Industrial experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. Relevant experience may be considered as a substitution for education where appropriate.
• Fundamental knowledge of chemistry and laboratory practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety.
• Ability to accurately follow experimental procedures and test methods.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on defined assignments and effectively within a team.
• Industrial or laboratory experience is helpful but not required.

R&D Chemist I

Purpose

The R&D Chemist I supports R&D leadership through laboratory experimentation, sample preparation, testing, product characterization, and documentation. This position develops the laboratory skills and technical knowledge necessary to reliably execute defined R&D activities.
