How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The position:Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct the project independently from literature study to bench work
Develop novel and scalable synthetic and purification processes. Synthesize and purify novel deposition precursor molecules from gram to kilogram scale
Complete the data package and transfer the new molecule synthesis and purification process to Process Development and Engineering Groups for further scale-up manufacturing
Create intellectual properties for the company
Ensure safe operations in the lab by following all safety protocols. Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Provide technical support to functional groups such as Safety, Quality and operations.
Foster an innovative and collaborative work environment
Interface with various functions such as Sales, Marketing, Safety, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing
Provide chemistry support related to various quality, safety or manufacturing issues
Successfully complete all assigned trainings
Ability to effectively and proficiently communicate both verbally and written in English
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in chemistry or chemical engineering in related fields such as organometallic chemistry, inorganic/organic synthesis; or B.S/M.S. in chemistry or chemical engineering with at least 5 years of related work experience
Strong safety mindset with a proven track record of safely handling hazardous chemicals.
Possess extensive hands-on experience in regards to the synthesis and purification of air/moisture sensitive compounds
Hands-on experiences with analytical instrumentation including gas chromatography (GC), mass spectroscopy and FTIR
Preferred Qualifications:
Have strong working knowledge of semiconductor materials and technologies
Experience with managing pilot-scale synthesis is highly desirable
Experience with conducting Process Hazard Reviews is highly desirable
Excellent team player with good project management skills
Capability of working on the global level with colleagues and customers
Excellent communications skills. Ability to generate high quality reports for both internal and external purposes.
