Job summary
The Space and Geophysics Laboratory at The University of Texas at Austin seeks a R&D C++ Software Developer to design, implement and maintain software in Linux environments using C++. You will collaborate on detailed software design, perform unit and integration testing, and contribute to documentation while applying object-oriented design, multi-threaded programming, and Python/Numpy/Scipy skills.
Experience with cloud services (AWS) and security requirements is a plus, and US citizenship is
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or applied science.
- 3+ years of C++ development in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Python and Numpy/Scipy stacks.
- Strong OO design and debugging skills.
- Experience in multi-threaded programming.
- US citizenship; eligibility for security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed software design in a team environment.
- Implement from detailed design and integrate tests.
- Perform unit, regression, and integration testing as appropriate.
- Create and maintain application documentation.
- Other related functions as assigned.
