Job summary

Sila, a next-generation battery materials company in Alameda, is seeking an R&D Battery Operations Engineer to sustain and improve capabilities for real-world cells.

You will implement quality control procedures, establish material inspections, set up SPC charts, and conduct RCAs. You will mentor technicians, document processes, and lead continuous improvement in battery assembly and testing, applying lean manufacturing techniques.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial laboratory or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to reduce defects and improve overall product quality.
• Establish incoming, in-process, and final material inspection; set up SPC charts; conduct RCAs.
• Work with technicians, scientists and engineers to produce high-quality results.
• Lead continuous improvement projects on battery assembly and testing processes; apply lean/Six Sigma methods.
