Job summary

SentriForce in Houston, TX seeks an R&D Associate to help identify, evaluate, test, and introduce new technologies for video surveillance and security solutions. This hands‑on role spans technology research, testing, problem solving, and business analysis to translate trends into scalable products.

You will work with Sales, Operations, Monitoring and other teams, conducting proof‑of‑concept tests, ROI analyses, and vendor demos to improve SentriForce’s offerings and competitive position.

Qualifications

• Familiar with researching new hardware, software, AI and analytics.
• Experience testing and evaluating tech in lab or field settings.
• Ability to assess ROI, scalability and cybersecurity implications.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging tech for SentriForce’s products and services.
• Evaluate cameras, software platforms, AI apps, and analytics tools.
• Test performance, reliability, integration and business value.
• Plan tests, document results, and give clear recommendations.
• Conduct cost‑benefit and ROI analyses for tech decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Monitoring and others.
• Run proof‑of‑concept tests and pilots for new tech.
• Coordinate demos and trials with vendors.
• Track industry trends and opportunities for SentriForce.
• Present findings to management and stakeholders.
