Job summary

FoodScience, LLC is seeking an onsite R&D Associate in Williston, VT to guide product development from concept through commercialization. The role blends chemistry, process engineering, and manufacturing with a focus on scalable, quality products for pets.

You will work at the intersection of R&D and manufacturing, conducting bench trials, optimizing formulations, and collaborating with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Procurement to bring new supplements to market on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Hands-on laboratory, product-development, process-development, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong scientific and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate laboratory work into manufacturing.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop formulations from initial concept through commercialization.
• Modify and evaluate formulations for manufacturability, quality, and performance.
• Conduct bench-scale trials and experiments for processing conditions.
• Translate lab formulations into scalable manufacturing processes.
• Partner with Operations and Manufacturing for pilot and production trials.
• Provide technical support during initial production runs and product launches.
• Investigate and troubleshoot formulation or process issues affecting quality or yield.
• Transfer knowledge from development to production teams.
