Job summary

ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. seeks a Director of R&D AI, Insights & Analytics to lead data strategy and AI initiatives across the R&D organization. You will define roadmaps, advance modern data platforms, and enable faster clinical trial execution through AI-driven solutions.

In this high-visibility role, you’ll partner with Enterprise AI, IT, and external partners to drive governance, data quality, and measurable business value across the drug development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in R&D analytics, data strategy, clinical development analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience within pharmaceutical/biotech industry and familiarity with regulated R&D environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D insights, analytics, AI, and data capability roadmap.
• Lead R&D data governance including ownership, stewardship, metadata, and data quality standards.
• Partner with IT and data engineering to design modern data platforms (data lake, lakehouse, cloud-based).
• Provide leadership for architecture, platform evaluations, and vendor assessments.
• Develop dashboards and predictive analytics to improve patient enrollment, site performance, and trial execution.
