Job summary

Hormann LLC in Burgettstown, PA is seeking a Research and Development Technician to support new product development of high speed fabric, sectional, and rolling steel doors. The role partners with engineering to improve function, reliability and serviceability while compiling data to maintain specs.

You will fabricate prototypes, install and test doors, conduct windload testing, and help implement Engineering Change Requests.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Background in research and development or testing.
• Knowledge of architectural testing and international building codes a plus.
• Analytical problem solver.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD; Pro/Engineer/CREO a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues.
• Ability to work in a group environment.
