Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in fastener, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or MRO.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of fastener products, specs, materials, and SAE/ASTM/ISO.
• Experience with quoting, pricing, sourcing, or procurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Our client is a trusted partner and global leader in providing high-performance fastening solutions. Their products support critical applications across industries including automotive, truck and trailer, construction, and industrial manufacturing.

Overview:

They are looking to hire a Quoting Manager to lead the Quoting Department. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role is responsible for overseeing all quoting activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive customer quotations while managing and developing a team of Quotation Specialists.

The Quoting Manager plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction by executing pricing strategies, managing supplier engagement, and partnering closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and global sourcing teams. This position serves as the primary leader of the quotation process from supplier sourcing through quote delivery, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Quotation Management

• Review all new quotation requests that have completed the sourcing process within the Supply Chain organization.
• Manage the end-to-end quotation process from initial request through final submission to the Sales team.
• Ensure quotations are completed accurately, competitively, and within required customer deadlines.
• Analyze supplier pricing and quotation data to support pricing decisions and profitability goals.
• Monitor quote turnaround times and implement strategies to improve responsiveness and efficiency.
• Maintain visibility and control of active quotation activities and priorities.

Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

• Distribute quote request forms to suppliers and manage supplier participation throughout the quoting process.
• Review supplier responses received through email and quotation management systems for accuracy and completeness.
• Compile, analyze, and compare supplier pricing within the cloud-based supplier management system.
• Review, update, and maintain supplier information within departmental databases and systems.
• Support supplier selection decisions in alignment with their Strategic Sourcing Strategy.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve pricing, specification, and lead-time issues.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quotation Specialists.
• Establish priorities, assign workloads, and ensure balanced team performance.
• Monitor team productivity, quality, and customer service performance.
• Provide coaching, training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning activities as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations teams to support customer requirements.
• Collaborate with their Taiwan team to leverage supplier relationships and execute global sourcing strategies.
• Support strategic pricing initiatives and business growth opportunities.
• Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure successful quote execution.

Process Improvement & Reporting

• Evaluate departmental procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Develop and maintain reporting metrics related to quote volume, response times, conversion rates, and supplier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and customer responsiveness.
• Support company quality initiatives and compliance with established procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational success.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience within the fastener, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or MRO industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of fastener products, specifications, materials, and industry standards including SAE, ASTM, and ISO.
• Previous quoting, pricing, sourcing, or procurement experience required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with ERP systems, quotation management systems, and supplier databases preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Directly supervises Quotation Specialists.
• Responsible for employee training, coaching, performance management, and workload allocation.
• Monitors departmental performance and ensures achievement of service, quality, and productivity goals.
