Job summary

SMF, a part of Etnyre International, seeks a Quoting Engineer / Cost Estimator to partner with customers, sales, engineering and operations to evaluate RFQs and submit competitive quotes from receipt through customer submission.

You will assess manufacturing feasibility, determine materials, labor, engineering, testing and quality requirements, coordinate internal reviews, and track quotations to support business development while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Associate degree in Engineering or related field is desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or sales role.
• Strong working knowledge in MS Office

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, specs and technical requirements.
• Determine material, labor, engineering, testing and quality needs for quotations.
• Process and manage incoming quote requests promptly.
• Coordinate with Engineering and internal stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Sales, S&OP, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Maintain and analyze current pricing standards and material cost fluctuations.
• Track and follow up on active and historical quotations to aid business development.
• Support relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Support continuous improvement in estimating, quoting and cost analysis.
