Job summary

Charles E Gillman Company is seeking a quoting specialist to support BOM entry and tooling research for cable harnesses.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and emphasizes understanding the product to deliver accurate quotes while meeting department KPIs and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6 months of manufacturing experience or a technical degree with four years in manufacturing cable harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Quoting: research tooling and enter BOMs into the quoting system (kNet).
• Maintain assigned goals and support KPIs for the department.
• Understand the product firsthand to drive accurate quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve quoting processes.

This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager

• Will be mainly responsible for quoting.
• Their duties include researching tooling and equipment and entering BOMs into kNet (Quoting system)
• Maintain assigned goals.
• Most importantly, they need to support the department's KPIs. They need to be willing to understand the product firsthand.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6 months of experience in manufacturing, or a degree in a technical field with four years of experience in manufacturing cable harnesses.

Computer knowledge in:

Microsoft Office.

CAD design software.

English, written and spoken, 60% minimum.

Other Duties:

designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.

automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency, and planning factory layouts to maximize production efficiency.

Balancing lines.
