Job summary

Mouser Electronics, a TTI, Inc. company, is seeking a Quote Representative I to manage supplier communications, quotes, and BOM documentation.

This role focuses on accurate quoting, pricing analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Products, and regional teams. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong Excel capabilities, and excellent communication skills to support Mouser's procurement and quotation processes.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing, marketing or sales desirable.
• Strong communication and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact Mouser's suppliers to obtain all purchasing information including cost and lead-time, and coordinate with Sales, Products and other departments.
• Demonstrate time management and follow-up on quotes through proper channels within required time.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail to assess decisions before execution.
• Provide high-quality customer service and effective interactions with internal and external contacts.
• Format and complete BOM Quotes using Excel and Mouser's BOM tool; conduct BOM audits for item accuracy.
• Document all quote transactions internally and with suppliers.
• Support local/regional Customer Service teams and assist other regions as needed.
• Contribute to the company's total quality process and maintain professional representation.

Accountabilities & Essential Functions

• Contact Mouser's suppliers to obtain all purchasing information including cost and lead-time. Communicate requirements and interact effectively with suppliers, Sales, Products and other Mouser departments to efficiently complete daily tasks.
• Exhibits excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently complete follow-up on quotes via the proper channel(s) within Mouser's required time.
• Posses strong analytical skills in order to analyze the impact of decisions before execution; must be detail-oriented and thorough in work habits with an ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrate the highest quality of customer service and effectively interact with all internal and external business contacts.
• Effectively formats and completes BOM Quotes using advanced Excel features and Mouser's proprietary BOM tool. Scrubs BOMs to capture more line items, and conducts BOM audits to ensure accuracy of results.
• Accurately document all transactions in the quote, both internal and with the supplier.
• Support the local/regional Customer Service teams and provide support for other regions/teams as required.
• Support and participate in the company total quality process; represent the company in a professional manner.
• Show a desire to learn all facets of the role as well as to continue to expand knowledge of the business and industry.
• Learn effective quoting skills to be able to produce quotes with minimal assistance.
• Possess the desire and ability to learn and understand profit margins, markups and competitive pricing.
• Possess the desire and ability to have strong analytical and part number identification skills.
• Trustworthy and maintain confidentiality.
