Job summary

Graybar in Albany, NY seeks a Quotations Specialist to manage the quotations process from request to quote submission. You will work with Graybar sales, customer service, customers and manufacturer reps to gather details and prepare quotes while learning product lines and pricing mechanics.

You will develop cost estimates, coordinate with factories, collaborate with internal teams, build relationships with customers and suppliers, and compare BOMs to ensure accurate, competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• 2+ years experience preferred.
• High School education.
• 2 year degree in Business or related preferred.

As a Quotations Specialist, you will handle the quotations process from the time you receive the request to the time you submit the quote to the customer. You will communicate with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers and manufacturer representatives to gather needed details to create your quotes. You will learn about our product lines and pricing mechanics, as well as the computer systems we use in order to provide quotations that result in profitable sales for the Company.

In This Role You Will

• Prepare cost estimates of material
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives
• Form relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotations
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to ascertain and price any differences for complete comparisons

What You Bring To The Table

Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Compensation Details: The expected rate of pay for this position is $20.52 per hour - $28.64 per hour, depending on experience.
