Job summary

Chicago Lightworks is seeking a Quotations Specialist to prepare accurate, competitive quotations that support project success and build strong vendor relationships across the project lifecycle.

You will review blueprints and specifications, negotiate with manufacturers, coordinate with internal teams, manage inventory awareness, and collaborate with customers and sales reps to ensure timely, precise quotes.

Qualifications

• Experience in quotations, estimating, or a related role (lighting or construction industry preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Quotation Preparation – Review project blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare precise, competitive quotations aligned with customer requirements and company standards.
• Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong partnerships with customers, manufacturers, and sales representatives to support collaboration and drive successful outcomes.
• Customer Communication – Provide proactive and clear updates to customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience throughout the quoting process.
• Product Knowledge & Inventory Awareness – Maintain a thorough understanding of product offerings, inventory availability, and industry trends. Participate in training to expand product knowledge.
• Pricing & Contract Negotiation – Obtain competitive pricing by negotiating contracts with manufacturers and vendors while ensuring accurate and current documentation.
• Team Collaboration – Partner effectively with internal team members, sharing insights and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
