Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Quotations Specialist in Minnesota to manage the quotations process from request receipt to quote submission. You will interact with Graybar sales, customer service, customers, and manufacturers to gather details for profitable quotations.

Make a difference.As a Quotations Specialist, you will handle the quotations process from the time you receive the request to the time you submit the quote to the customer. You will communicate with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers and manufacturer representatives to gather needed details to create your quotes. You will learn about our product lines and pricing mechanics, as well as the computer systems we use in order to provide quotations that result in profitable sales for the Company.In this role you will:Prepare cost estimates of materialContact factories and representatives to obtain cost informationCollaborate with sales representatives and customer service representativesForm relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotationsCompare manufacturers’ bills of material to ascertain and price any differences for complete comparisonsWhat you bring to the table:Customer service and communication skillsAbility to meet deadlinesKnowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas2+ years experience preferredHigh School education2 year degree in Business or related preferredCompensation Details: The starting rate of pay for this position is 24.00 USD HourlyShift Hours and Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pmThe Value of Graybar:At Graybar, we are known for our comprehensive benefits and our employee stock ownership plan!
