An established industry player in the electrical supply sector is seeking a dynamic Quotations Department Manager. This role is pivotal in interpreting electrical specifications and ensuring project requirements are met, ultimately driving the company's success in securing projects. Responsible for management of the Quotations Department. Ensures interpretation of electrical specifications and drawings for all projects are met to see that the company is awarded the highest percentage of work available in the market place. Reviews manufacturer project and costs verifying these match the specified project requirements. Upon job reward, oversee project transition between Estimator and Project Manager. Work with Store Managers and Salesmen to develop project business with customers. Negotiate with Salesman, Customers, and Vendors to win projects for the company. Handles escalation when necessary; provides solutions to issues and problems to ensure company’s policies and procedures are followed. Review pricing quotations to ensure consistent, competitive and profitable pricing. Follow up on outstanding quotations with sales team and customers to determine status. Determine most cost effective fit of product to project specifications. Meets with vendors/suppliers/customers to build strong and profitable relationships that benefit the company and gives vendors/suppliers incentive to drive more project opportunities. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems, and suggest appropriate solutions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred with five (5) years working experience in a similar setting or secondary education in the related field; Strong knowledge of electrical products, power and controls; Excellent team leader; Exceptional communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills; Strong appreciation for excellence in customer service; Strong initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility; Excellent time management/organizational skills with ability to meet important deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Strong attention to detail; Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; Strong computer skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to frequently bend, lift and climb.
