Job summary

Quirk Hotel is seeking a dynamic Bartender to join our team in Richmond, VA. You will craft classic and craft cocktails, take accurate orders, upsell, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum one year of hotel/restaurant bartending experience and a High School diploma are required. The role supports flexible hours and potential holiday scheduling within a boutique hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Takes accurate food and beverage orders from guests.
• Upsells and makes natural suggestions to guide guests.
• Monitors food distribution and ensures proper presentation.
• Checks station before/during/after shift for cleanliness and setup.
• Complies with all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations.
• Familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
• Totals checks, presents to guests and accepts payment.
• Creates classic and craft cocktails to our recipe standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Takes accurate food orders from guests
• Upsell s and has the ability to make natural suggestions tp guide guests
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
• Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
• Create classic and craft cocktails to our recipe standards
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant bartending role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Team player

• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
• Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
